Decades ago I was in the Messnerstüble - at that time there was baked frozen pizza. Today I tried it again - and unfortunately the food was not really better: both the bread dumplings (2 slices) and the vegetable patties were reminiscent of the pizza at the time, the chanterelles were drowned in cream. After all, the salad was fresh and it was warm in the room - at an outside temperature of 13 degrees. At first, we were not saddened by the fact that we only got a seat at the counter. When other guests came into the restaurant with the words "Certainly not a chance - not even at the counter" and were assigned a place at a table, we were really upset.If you eat well in Schwarzenberg and are looking for an alternative to the high-priced inns Hirschen, Alte Mühle and Adler, we recommend the Gasthof Zur Buche or the simple and honest Gasthof Ochsen - the latter is unfortunately only open for the Schubertiade and on the last Saturday of each month.

Owner was very unkind. It was busy, there were many reservations, OK, but no attempt was made to find a solution. And that certainly seemed possible with half-occupied tables. As a foreigner you get the impression that you do not care. And that in a village that mainly has to do with tourism. Pity.

My favourite place in this zone. The schnitzel is the best!try to believe it...The owners are lovely and they welcome you very well.the cakes and dessert are amazing, the best way to finish a lunch or a dinner. (try also the schnaps) Highly recommended!Grazie e arrivederci! :)

The food is simple but good, the service is friendly, the price is reasonable for the region, but in my opinion it doesn't quite match the ambience. For that I subtract a star.

We visited the Mesnerstüble today for the first time and were served very nicely. My mineral water was served with a fresh lemon slice. We had the plum cake with crumbles twice and were totally thrilled. He was extremely tasty. It would have been nice if the cream had been freshly beaten. So there was the cream from the siphon and fell together quickly .... The cappuccino was unfortunately not tasty, although well prepared. Maybe you should just take better coffee. The small restaurant looked very comfortable and clean. Likewise, the sanitary facilities were picobello clean. We will definitely go back.

The Mesnerstüble is one of the best restaurants in Vorarlberg. very good food, very cozy atmosphere, top service and normal prices. It is a bit more expensive than other restaurants but for the quality of the food it is really cheap.

Just comfortable

Very unfriendly staff and also the boss himself. Local guests are easily preferred. We were initially not allowed to sit outside, locals already. We were neither wiped the table dry, nor laid a tablecloth, well on the still free tables. Mediocre grill plate with salad around 21 euros was then too much. Once and never again
